HVE wins Huawei Partner of Year Honor

HVE wins Huawei Partner of Year Honor
Joseph O'Daniel, President of Virtualization and Professional Services, Sphere 3D

Sphere 3D has a number of partners that it works with, including those that work closely with us to deliver the latest technology innovations. Some of those partners, like Huawei, have a robust and diverse partner ecosystem that includes solution providers and worldwide alliances, to help customers reach their potential when deploying software defined solutions.

With such a large ecosystem of partners to choose from, it is humbling that we were named Huawei 2016 Partner of the Year at the Huawei Americas Partner Summit earlier this year. Even more humbling is the fact that this award represents a repeat win for HVE, as we were also named as the 2015 Huawei Partner of the Year at the previous year’s Americas Partner summit held in January of 2016. David He, president of Huawei Enterprise US, awarded HVE’s 2016 Partner of the Year award in recognition of our innovative purpose-built approach to delivering converged virtualization solutions.

We are grateful to Huawei for recognizing the value we bring to their organization and our efforts in the common pursuit of delivering the next generation of software defined networks and hyperconverged architectures that are purpose-built to deliver on customer’s needs. This award serves as a testament to the great work the Huawei and HVE teams have done in delivering the shared R&D that enables us to provided unmatched virtualization expertise to our customer base.

But awards are always for what has already been accomplished, I for one like to look to the future and the great things we are working on.

One of the biggest trends in the data center during the past two or three years has been the emergence of integrated stacks that combine compute platforms, storage and networking into a complete system. Customers like the idea of an integrated stack because it create cost certainty, eliminates finger pointing when something goes wrong and reduces implementation time. We have been active in this space for some time now but we think we are just starting to get warmed up.

We recently announced our latest converged and hyperconverged appliances, our new Datrium ready nodes, and the combination of HVE, Sphere 3D, and Overland engineering talents that have come together to allow us a myriad of new architectures and capabilities to better serve our customers.

As we continue to dedicate resources to the future of the Software Defined Data Center we are seeing reciprocal commitments from our customers. Not only is the number of customers we are delivering solutions to growing, but so is the size of the financial investment they are making on our portfolio. This type of validation drives us to continue to innovate and deliver the best possible solution to meet their individual needs.

So in closing thank you for the recognition, we are humbled, yet there is so much left to do; and yes we are up to the challenge!

Hope to see you on the podium again next year.
